Landywood Primary School

This year’s World Book Day was celebrated on Thursday 7th March, an opportunity for us to encourage a promote a love of books to our children. All children across school dressed up as their favourite book character. It was great to see all of the wonderful costumes in school.

During the day we had a special visitor, Danial Donaldson, who introduced an exciting competition to all children from Years 1-6. Daniel explained that he wanted the children, in small teams, to write a story for a younger child that featured an animal. The two winning entries would then work with our iPad expert to create two animations of their stories. The winners thoroughly enjoyed their day bringing their stories to life.

Daniel also be visited our younger children to share a range of stories.  We were very excited that Daniel worked with Landywood during this very special day.
